Earth History - A New Approach - Takes an inclusive approach to the evidence that informs the origins debate. Argues that large-scale evolution has taken place, but there are limits, as shown by the fossil record and supported by studies of living animals. The ideas of creation and evolution are complementary, with the fossil record being interpreted in relation to a global cataclysm at the base of the record. Life recovered from this cataclysm in successive ecological stages, and as it did so, revealed an enormous in-built capacity for diversifying into multitudinous species: horizontal rather than vertical evolution. It is these ecological steps towards the stable ecosystem of today that have been mistaken for evolution from microbes to man. The site also includes several studies of the relevant passages in Genesis.
